As part of the FH Salzburg Master’s program, we had the unique opportunity to work with award-winning composer Walter Mair. The project challenged us to re-compose the score for the film Till Death, offering a fresh musical perspective. I developed the new score and recorded live cello with experimental cellist Noid (Arnold Haberl) to bring emotional depth and tension to the scenes. In a second phase, we fully re-designed the sound for the sequence. This involved extensive foley work — including creating a custom foley package by recording an old staircase as well as driving a car on snow to capture authentic textures. The final step was a full 5.1 mix, supported by professional post-audio mixer and FH lecturer Martin Löcker. The project was an in-depth exploration of cinematic audio — from composition to sound design to spatial mixing.
